James Cirg Corley
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Locke officiating. Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Monday and prior to services on Tuesday. Interment will be at Jones Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Corley, 84, of Donelson, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage. He was the son of the late Cirg and Montye Cassetty Corley and was preceded in death by brothers, J.L. and Mack Corley. James was retired from First American Bank and was a Army veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Hudson Corley of Donelson; son, James Michael Corley and his wife, Terre of Huntsville, Ala.; grandchildren, James Michael Corley II and his wife, Crystal and Amanda Corley both of Huntsville, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Sara and Jason Corley; sisters, Mildred Dress of Minneapolis, Minn. and Erlene (Billy Joe) Seals of Madison; brother, Herbert (Robbie) Corley of Watertown; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Goins will be held Thursday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. August Ruff officiating and Milton Jones assisting. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 2-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Mr. Goins, 72, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Feb. 18, 2013.
Mr. Goins was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Ollie Goins; sister, Francis Creech; brothers, Charlie Goins, Willard Goins, Curtis Goins and Jessie B. Goins. He is survived by son, Keith (Tina) Johnson; daughter, Michelle "Mickie" (Kenneth) Andrews; sisters, Mary Alice Davis, Elsie Mason, Ruth Cole, Betty Sue Walker and Mildred (George Sr.) Page; brothers, Bill (Shirley) Goins, Boots Joe Goins, Rayford (Dianne) Goins, Harold (Annette) Goins and Kenneth Wayne Goins; grandchildren, Misti (Billy) Duenez and Thomas (Jennifer) Andrews; great-grandchildren, Brandon and Brianna Andrews; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Larry Walker, George Page Jr., Ronald Mason, Billy Goins, Paul Goins and Gama Crisostomo serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne Page, Bubba Cole, Dennis Page and David Goins.
Tyler Benjamin McChurch
Funeral services for Mr. McChurch will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory, with Father Pat Kibby officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. (with a Vigil at 7 p.m.) Thursday at St. Stephen Catholic Community.
Mr. McChurch, 29, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013. Tyler was a 2002 graduate of Friendship Christian School and a 2007 graduate of Cumberland University where he played on the football team. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Benjamin McChurch and stepgrandfather, Robert Hagge.
He is survived by wife, Alexis Stevenson McChurch; son, Jackson McChurch; parents, Dan and Debbie McChurch; brothers, Mitch McChurch and Connor McChurch; and grandparents, Joan Hagge and Dave and Janet Cavanaugh.
Active pallbearers will be Jeff Poling, David Deffendall, Doc Reese, Taylor Vandever, Cody McCray, Nolan McCue, Adam Nischwitz and Josh Stevenson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelsey Evert, Chris Lewis, Michael Shaw, Mike Derdak, Wayne Grimes, Ken Lukens, Del Merrit, fellow Cumberland University Football Team Members and fellow Cumberland University Sigma Alpha Epsilon Brothers.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made a college scholarship fund for Tyler’s son, Jack.
