Services for Mr. Organ will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Medlin officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Organ, 90, of Lebanon, died Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Southern Manor. Born in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Charlie S. and Ruby Clemmons Organ. He was a 1940 graduate of Lebanon High School and served in the United States Air during World War II. He was a member of the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He also was a mechanic for Eastern Airlines, and raised cats, ducks, and peacocks.
He was preceded in death by: parents; sister, Betty Jo Organ; brother, Wendell Organ; and niece, Gayle L. King.
Survivors include: sister, Bessie L. Organ Atnip of Smithville; nephews, Charles D. (Betty Jo) Atnip, John L. (Betty Jean) Atnip all of Smithville, Richard (Carla) King of Cookeville; niece, Phyllis (Ronnie) Tramel of Smithville; several great-nieces and nephews; and friend, Karen Krattinger of Lebanon.
Pallbearers will be Charles, John and Ricky Atnip, Ronnie Tramel, Richard and Eric King.
Leah Brown Tucker
Services for Mrs. Tucker were 2 p.m. Friday, April 20, at the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kevin Medlin officiating. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Tucker, 80, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Quality Care Nursing Home. Born in August of 1931 in the Leeville Community, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Brown and Ottie Marie Lanius Brown Vaughn. She was a 1950 graduate of Lebanon High School. She and her late husband owned and operated Tuckers Sausage in Lebanon. She was an active member of the Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was a part of the CPW of which she had served in several offices including president. She also was very active in the Lebanon Wilson County Chamber of Commerce and also in the BPW Club where she had also served in many capacities including president.
She was preceded in death by: parents; husband of 57 years, James B. 'Jimmy' Tucker; sisters, Mary Willodeen Brown Neeley and Kathaleen Rhea Brown Morse.
Survivors include: children, James R. 'Ronnie' Tucker and Peggy (Jerry) Watson; granddaughter, Jessa (Aaron) Templeton; great-grandchildren, Kailynn and Jake Templeton all of Lebanon; brother, John (Pat) Brown of Jefferson City; and a great aunt, Frances Lanius of Lebanon.
Active Pallbearers were Aaron Templeton, Bubba Phillips, William Harris, Sam Watson, Bill Templeton, Larry Stroud, Robin York and Joe Cripps. Honorary Pallbearers were Lebanon Cumberland Presbyterian Church CPW.
