Dorothy Jean Davis Gibbs
The Funeral Service for Mrs. Gibbs, conducted by Dr. Larry Locke, is 12 p.m. Friday, April 26 at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon (at Stone Mansion, 416 Rome Pike) with visitation from 10 a.m. until the service. Graveside service and interment will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 in Gibbs Cemetery, Ashland City.
Mrs. Gibbs, 85, passed away on April 23, 2013. She was a member of College Hills Church of Christ. She was the first lady president of the Tennessee Housing Authority.
She is survived by sisters-in-law, Elsa Lockert of Ashland City and Edith Bliss of Lake Worth, Fla. and brother-in-law, Hester (Eleanor) Gibbs of Lebanon; nieces Irene Davis of Wilmington, Del., Marsha (Jeff) Nevils of Boca Raton, Fla. and Suzanne (Kenny) Lockert-Mash of Dover, Tenn.; nephews, John Davis, III and Jeffrey Davis of Wilmington, Del., Bruce (Elaine) Gibbs, Eric (Teri) Lockert, James (Christine) Lockert of Ashland City, Shawn Lockert of Alcoa, Tenn., John ( Donna) Gibbs of Pleasantview, Tenn. and Brad Gibbs of Lebanon; and great-aunt, Lucille Lowery of Hermitage.
She is preceded in death by husband, Arthur Thomas “Dick” Gibbs; parents, John D. and Fannie Mae Jones Davis; brother, John Davis Jr.; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Davis.
Pallbearers will be Eric Lockert, Shawn Lockert, James Lockert, Jeff Davis, John Gibbs and Hester Gibbs. Special Friends: Mary Sue Brooks, Mary Burton, Doug and Leta Jackson, Steven Jackson, Peter and Patrick Myers and Darrell “Billy” King. Special Companions: Hester and Eleanor Gibbs. Special thank-you to the staff at The Pavillion.

Mrs. Stahl, 89, of Mt. Juliet, died Monday.
Services will be Saturday in Syracuse, Mo. Arrangements are by Bond Memorial Chapel.
