Harry Macomber Jr.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial service for Mr. Macomber will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown.
Mr. Macomber, 71, of Watertown, died Monday, May 21 at his home. He was born in July of 1940 in Freedom Township, Mich. to George Macomber and Mabel Elizabeth Graden Macomber. He was the youngest newspaper publisher in Michigan in the late 1960s and was noted for his work in the Press Association Magazine. He held elective office, served as an officer in various civic organizations and received the State Preservation Award and other accolades for his work and dedication to the city of Watertown. He was a printer and farmer.
He was preceded in death by: son, David Tyosh; and grandson, Kristian.
Survivors include: sons, Adam of Watertown and Thomas Tyosh of Mich.; daughter, Melanie of Mich.; grandchildren, Jovon, Daylon and Isaac; siblings, Shirley Sparks, Barb Harvey, Carl Macomber, Linda Brannock and George Macomber Jr., all of Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Southern STARRS, 4050 Cairo Bend Road, Lebanon.
Anne Murphy Raplee
Memorial services for Mrs. Raplee will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 14, at First Baptist Church of Lebanon, 227 East Main Street. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the church.
Mrs. Raplee died Tuesday, May 15, 2012. She was born in Nashville to the late Harriet Olney and James Murphy. Her long and productive life ended after protracted illness, during which she was cared for by her physicians and medical staff in the Lebanon community and her son, Lee Thomas. She graduated from Cumberland High School in Nashville. She earned an associate degree in business, and later worked as an executive secretary for Avco Aerostructures, then as an office manager for Dr. Raplee and her son Scott's growing veterinary practice in Nashville. She and Doc retired to their farm home in Wilson Co. She had many prize winning needlepoint, crochet, sewing, art and embroidery. She also was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Dr. Robert G. Raplee.
Survivors include: sons, Dr. Scott B. (Sue) Thomas of Colo. and Lee D. Thomas; stepchildren; Ryan G. Raplee of Texas, Rebecca P.L. of Ill., and Robert C., Rick C., and Randall C.,; and five grandchildren.

Patricia Ann Ward
Services for Ms. Ward will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at Second Missionary Baptist Church in Lebanon with the Rev. Cordell Haynie, eulogist. Interment will be in Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon until the service on Thursday at the church.
Ms. Ward, 47, died May 20, 2012 at University Medical Center.
Survivors include: children, Dontez and Jonesha Ward; brother, Billy Joe Ward; aunt, Norma (James) Young; cousin, Loretta Young; and other relatives and friends.
