Ethelyne Lannom

Funeral services for Mrs. Lannom will be 3 p.m. Sunday, June 16 at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Soderquist officiating. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. till service time on Sunday. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Norene.

Mrs. Lannom, 83, of the Norene community, died Thursday morning, June 13, 2013 at University Medical Center in Lebanon. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel Turner Donnell and was preceded in death on April 12, 2012 by her husband of 63 years, Jackson Lannom; a daughter, Becky Cardiff; brothers, Howard B. Donnell and Robert Thomas Donnell; aunt, Christine Donnell and uncle, Toy Donnell. Ethelyne was a retired accountant and secretary, a member of Spring Creek Presbyterian Church and a member of the French Lick Chapter of DAR.

She is survived by her son, Robert Jackson Lannom and his wife, Tish of Thorndale, Pa.; granddaughter, Kacey Cardiff of Lebanon; grandsons, Robert(Andrea) Lannom, Jr. of Cartersville, Ga., Andrew Lannom of Murfreesboro and their mother, Patricia Lannom of Cartersville, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Kyle Lannom, Hayden and Noah Pedigo; son-in-law, Voe Cardiff; sister-in-law, Margaret Donnell; nieces and nephews; dear friends, Linda and David Wrather.

Pallbearers will be Robert and Andrew Lannom, Kyle Lannom, Mark Lannom, Wayne Donnell and Bryan Wrather; honorary pallbearers, Hayden Pedigo, Tony Bane and Terry McPeak.

Frances Ramsey Ligon

Funeral services for Mrs. Ligon are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 16 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Cathey and Bro. Billy Trice officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Saturday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday after 1 p.m. at Ligon & Bobo.

Mrs. Ligon, 87, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013, at the Pavilion in Lebanon.

Born Nov. 11, 1925, in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Porter and Dora Dillard Ramsey. She was a homemaker and a member of Bartons Creek Baptist Church. She also was a part of LLL at First Baptist Church and the 49’ers at Bartons Creek.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vera Bay; and four brothers, Alfred, Kenneth, Elbert and Earl Ramsey.

She is survived by her husband of over 67 years, Doris Ligon; three children, Doris Marie Ligon, Danny (Suzanne) Ligon and Cathy Sue Agee; two grandchildren, Whitney Denise (Jeffrey) Vantrease and April Camille (Jonathan) Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Sadie Ramsey Vantrease and Callie Thompson; and sister, Lois Kerbo.

Phillip Bay, Jeffrey Vantrease, Jonathan Thompson, Billy Joe Sanford, Tex Barthel, and Don Hayes will serve as pallbearers.

Larry Bay, Larry Blackburn, Jimmy Wayne Ramsey, Joe Alsup, Tony Shelton, Steve Shelton, Bobby Murray, Bobby Baskin, Oliver Tribble, and Marvin Medlin will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Grady D. Wharton

Mr. Wharton, of Lebanon, died Friday, June 14, 2013. Arrangements are incomplete.
