Beulah Mae Bell
Services for Mrs. Bell will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, June 7 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Rev. Billie Friel officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bell, 99, of Mt. Juliet, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Mrs. Bell was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet. She was the daughter of the late Richard R. and Bessie Hallums Walker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Penick Bell and her daughter, Virginia Sue Walker.
She is survived by sons, James (Maxine) Bell and Harold L. (Carolyn) Bell; daughter, Dorothy (Robert Earl) Robinson; grandchildren, Greg (Maleah) Bell, Tim (Jonna) Bell, Lillard Walker, III, Sherry Robinson (Mark) Wise, Bobby (Connie) Robinson, Jason Bell and Jamie Bell; great-grandchildren, Justin (Nicki) Bell, Erin Bell (Kyle) Comer, Lauren Bell, Corley Bell, Britt Bell, T.J. Bell, John Mark Bell, Christian Bell, Tavie Bell, Jared Wise and Becky Wise; and great-great-grandchildren, J.J. Kylie, Dani, Jackson, Jessie and Jovie.
Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to the Gideons International or Journey of Grace at First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet.
Betty Pauline Borns
Ms. Borns, 85, of Lebanon and formerly of Des Moines, Iowa, died peacefully on May 18 at Elmcroft Assisted Living. A graduate of Northwestern University, she taught elementary school for 28 years. She did a lot of volunteer work in Des Moines and Lebanon, including utilizing her teaching skills to tutor children and adults. She was a fantastic mother, grandmother and friend. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, kind heart and quick wit, with a joke for every occasion.
She is survived by her three children: Denise Rupp (Edward), Linda Schenk (Bill) and Jeff Borns (Jamie), as well as six grandchildren.

William Richard "Dick" Vance
Visitation for Mr. Vance will be held on Saturday, June 8 in the Partlow Funeral Chapel from 4-8 p.m.
Mr. Vance, 73, of Macon, Ga. paved his way to Heaven on Thursday, May 16, 2013 after an extended illness. Mr. Vance, the son of the late Jim Vance and Edna Mai Haralson Vance, was born in Lebanon, Tenn., on March 29, 1940, and had lived in Macon for the past 50 years. After completing his education, he served in the United States Army with honor.
Upon returning to civilian life, Mr. Vance worked as an asphalt paver, owning Vance and Sons Asphalt Paving and attended Midway Baptist Church in Lizella.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Suzanne Vance; brothers, Jimmy and Ed Vance; and by an uncle, V.L. Haralson. Mr. Vance is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathy Dawn Vance; sons and daughters-in-law, Zane and Tonia Vance, James "Jim" Vance and Brandon "Foster" and Danyel Vance; grandchildren, Dalton Newman, Will Vance, Alexis Vance, Jackson Vance, Addie Vance and Amelya Vance; sisters, Alice (Billy Jack) Tubbs, Ella Sue (David) Midgett, Charlotte (Ronald) Jones, and June (Larry) Parkerson; brothers, Joe (Patsy) Vance, Jerry (Sandra) Vance, Paul (Una) Vance, Thomas (Kyle) Vance, and David (Susie) Vance; sisters-in-law, Geneva Vance and Frances Vance.
