Smith

Raphael 'Ralph' Brown

Services for Mr. Brown will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Bro. Glenn Denton and Bro. Dave Shelley officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and 2 p.m. until the service on Sunday at the church.

Mr. Brown, 73, of Lebanon, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at his home. He was born in Davidson Co. to the late Jesse Franklin and Nannie Mabel Holman Brown. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher and also sang in the choir. He retired from the United States Navy after 20 years’ service and also retired as Human Resources Manager of the Tennessee Department of Transportation where he worked for 20 years. He then worked as a courier for Wilson Bank & Trust.

He was preceded in death by: parents; and brother, Charles S. Brown.

Survivors include: wife of 52 years, Jamie Faye Walls Brown; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa F. (Bro. Dave) Shelley of Murfreesboro and Rhonda S. (Michael) Williams of Lebanon; grandchildren, Ryan Allen Shelley, Courtney Faye Williams and Joshua Isaac Williams; sisters, Pennie (Jim) Rogers of Warner Robbins, Ga. and Nancy L. Demarzo of Monroe, Ga.; brother, Fred L. (Christine) Brown of Willow Springs, Mo.; and sister-in-law, Helen Brown of Franklin.

Pallbearers will be Michael Williams, Dave and Ryan Shelley, Joshua Williams, Eugene Bringhurst and Bill Head. Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Hillcrest Baptist Church and his Sunday School Class.

Memorials may be made to the Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Alice Marie Hendrix Davis

Services for Ms. Davis will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Hermitage Memorial Gardens with Bro. Paul Ward officiating. Interment in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 19 and will be at noon until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Ms. Davis, 57, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012. She was born in August of 1954.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Beverly Hendrix.

Survivors include: children, Christopher Wallace, Jason (Brandy) Wallace and Misty McCluskey; sister, Mary (Raymond) Butcher; and brother, Alton 'Bubba' (Laurie) Hendrix.

Joe Allen Farmer

Memorial services for Mr. Farmer will be 3 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon with Bro. Jim Key officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Farmer, 73, of Lebanon, died Monday, July 16, 2012.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Bill and Effie Farmer; sisters, Lorene Morton, Louise Wilson and Polly Boston; and brothers, Clarence and Frank Farmer.

Survivors include: children, Joseph (Mary Ann) Farmer, Brandi Farmer (Marty Taylor), SFC Michael Farmer, Mark A. Farmer, Sheri (Jeff) Bush and Jamie Farmer; sisters, Mary Ethel O’Bryan and Kitty Swindell; grandchildren, Brayden Taylor, Nathaniel Lankford, Brittney Nicole and Zachary Allen Farmer, Jason Alcorn, Daniel Farmer, Melissa Alexando and Shauna Huff; 11 great-grandchildren; and friend, Sue McComb.

Lois Jean Sather

Memorial services for Ms. Sather will be 4 p.m. Monday, July 23, at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Ms. Sather, 64, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at her home. She was a service agent with FedEx.

She was preceded in death by: father, Bob Lee Crane; and brother, Jerry Crane.

Survivors include: mother, Billye Jean Crane; brother, Jimmy Crane; daughters, Jeannie M. Sather and Kathryn Sather Black; granddaughter, AuroraLee Black; family and friends, William Thomas Sather, Jacob Brown-Parrish, Carla Roberton, Jim Parrish, Elizabeth Miller and Stan and Rusty Sather.

John E. Smith

Services for Mr. Smith will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon with Bro. Danny Sellars officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Park. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Saturday and noon until the service Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith, 81, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Summit Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by parents, Henry G. and Sadie Smith; wife, Betty Smith; daughter, Evelene Dillard; sisters, LeOwen Griffin, Annie Mae Lehew and Diane Dryden; and brother, Bobby Jo Smith, all of Lebanon.

Survivors include: children, Betty (Steve) Nunley, Linda (Charles) Bonner and Reba (Tony) Woods, all of Lebanon; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Rich and Dorothy (Bill) McNeil; brothers, J.W. and Henry (Thea) Smith; and friends, Wesley Williamson and Demetris Cason.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Williamson, Chris Hood, Bobby Murphy, Tyler Yates, Rocky Victory and Cody Woods.
