Riley Howard Greer

Funeral services for Mr. Greer will be held on Monday, July 29 at p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Elder Garry Drennon officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 28 and from noon to 2 p.m. Monday in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Greer, 90, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, July 26 at University Medical Center.

He was a lifelong mechanic.

Mr. Greer was preceded in death by his parents, Ozel and Maggie Greer; wife, Wilma Greer; sister, Mary Baskin; brothers, Elry Greer & Hardy Greer; granddaughter, Crystal Ann Stafford; great-grandson, Weston Greer; and great-granddaughter, Miracle Faith Eskew.

Survivors include: sons, Riley Howard (Faye) Greer Jr., Kenneth Wayne (Kathy) Greer Sr.; Garry Lynn (Shelia) Greer Sr.; Ronnie Allen (Judy) Stafford Sr.; and Vince Lowell (Brenda) Stafford Sr.; daughter, Lisa Ellen (Patrick McDonald) Stafford; grandchildren, Stephen (Tammy) Greer; Jason (Allison) Greer; Kenneth Greer Jr.; Rhonda (Stephen) Squires; Josh (Renee) Greer; David Squires; Daniel Squires; Lynn (Kelly) Greer; Hilarie (Justin) Eskew; Brandon Greer; Amy (Tom) Pace; Ronnie "A.J." (Kelly) Stafford Jr.;  Brandy Stafford; Vince (Tandi) Stafford Jr.; Megan (Brent) Robins; Rychi Watson; Jessica Stanley; Garland Stanley; and Justin Tittle; 38 great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace Greer and Gertrude Couey; brother-in-law Billy (Billie) Sisco; sister-in-laws, Margaret Grandstaff and Linda (Bobby) Conder; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kenny, Josh, Lynn, Jason, Stephen and Brandon Greer, Little Ronnie Stafford, Little Vince Stafford, Garland Stanley, Rychi Watson, Stephen Squires and Justin Eskew. 

The family offers a special thank you to Dr. Bachstein, the U.M.C. nurses, PCU and technicians with Radiology & Respiratory.

Phyllis Howard-Silcox

Funeral services for Mrs. Howard-Silcox will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 28 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till service time on Sunday. Interment will be at Hillview Cemetery in Alexandria.

Mrs. Howard-Silcox, 71 of Alexandria, died Thursday, July 25 at her residence. She was born in Ruby, Ark., daughter of the late Billie Snyder and Gibb Stafford and was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Howard and a granddaughter, Jera Len Howard. Phyllis was a physicians assistant and nursing tech and attended the Light of the World Church in South Carthage.

She is survived by her husband Ernest Silcox of Alexandria; son, Brandon Howard and wife, Debbie of Watertown; daughter, Mary Evans and husband, Jimbo of Lebanon; stepdaughters, Sandy Crawford and husband, Henry of Alexandria and Ladonna McClendon of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Larry Paul Bowden, Brandy Lee Bowden, Brady Len Bowden, Richard Mistone, Kimberly Williams; great-grandchildren, Layla Marye Bass-Bowden and Evan Paul Bowden; brother, Leroy Briggs and wife, Dorothy of Pocola, Okla.

Bettye M. Malone

Family visitation for Mrs. Malone will be Monday, July 29 from 11 a.m. to noon. Funeral services to commence at the chiming hour of noon at Market Street Church of Christ, 502 East Market Street, Lebanon. Master of Ceremony will be Bro. David Meek. Eulogist, Dr. Benjamin Roberts. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Malone, 69, died Friday, July 26 at her residence in Lebanon.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ernest R. Malone; children, Glynis (Pete) Williams, Ernie (Kimberly) Malone and Marcee (Desney) Gordon; sister; Josephine (Will) Ferrell and brother, James Edward (Christine) Beasley; and a myriad of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
