Services for Mrs. Bennett will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Darrell Duncan and Bro. Andy Conley officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be noon until the service Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bennett, 68, of Hermitage, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charles Bennett Sr.; and son, Brandon Bennett.
Survivors include: sons, Charles (Tonia) Bennett Jr. and Andy (Sandy) Bennett; sister, Shirlene (Gary) Jackson; grandchildren, Ethan (Ashley), Cody, Kyle and Mandy Bennett; aunts, Ann Allen and Betty Seaborn; nephews, Gary (Mary) Jackson Jr. and John and Daniel Jackson; and several extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Kyle, Cody and Ethan Bennett, Gary Jackson Jr. and John and Daniel Jackson.

Charles Ray Prowell
A Graveside Service for Mr. Prowell, assisted by the U.S. Military, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at Partlow Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Prowell, 92, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 at Alive Hospice in Nashville. He was born in Wilson Co. in the community of Martha. He was a World War II Navy Aviation Veteran who was an employee of DuPont in Old Hickory until World War II erupted. He then joined the Navy and served his country gaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was deployed to many areas including the invasion of Okinawa, Japan. After the war ended he returned to DuPont and remained there until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by: parents, William Harvey and Mattie Belle Peak Prowell; brothers, William Bernice, Thomas Harvey and Waters West Prowell; sisters, Ida Sue Prowell Kinney and Thelma Belle Prowell Arnold; grandchildren, Gerald Miller II and Teresa Miller.
Survivors include: wife of 59 years, Dorothy Elaine Deal Prowell; sister, Betty Jean Prowell Mayberry; stepson, Gerald 'Jerry' (Judy) Miller; grandchildren, Tammy, Wendy, Sandra and Glenda; 13 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren.
James Winter 'J.W.' Smith
Services for Mr. Smith will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at Sellars Funeral Home at Stone Mansion (416 Rome Pike) with Bros. Danny Sellars and Bernie Zielsdorf officiating. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be noon-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 and 10 a.m. until the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Smith, 77, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012.
Survivors include: children, James 'Steve' Smith, Charles (Vicki) Smith, Nancy (Renn) Cottrell and Mary Brown, all of Lebanon; sisters, Louis Rich and Dorothy (Bill) McNeal; brother, Henry 'Rooster' Fyia Smith; sister-in-law, Francis Smith; cousin, Dorothy (Matthew) Brewington; stepchildren, Jackie Tittle, Jerry Tittle, Rudy (Tammy) Tanner, Darlene (Doug) Jenkins and Theresa (Rick Perry) Stephens; caregiver, Billy 'Tadpole' Brewer; 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James Smith, Charles Moss, Timothy Smith, Johnathan Simmons, Joseph Chaney, William 'Boo' Chaney, Christopher Smith and Billy 'Tadpole' Brewer.
