Rodney Van Baggett
Services for Mr. Baggett will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Neal-Taprley-Parchman Chapel with Geoffrey Sikes officiating. Interment in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 and 11 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Baggett, 90, of Clarksville, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at Walking Horse Meadows. He was born in Clarksville to the late Isaac Asberry and Addie Lee Neblett Baggett. He was a former member of Madison Street Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon and was most recently a member of Hilldale Church of Christ. He was formerly a truck driver for Frosty Morn, drove a Clarksville City Bus and retired from Fort Campbell Civil Service. He served in the United States Army in World War II and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sgt.
He was preceded in death by: wife of over 55 years, Kathryn Morris Baggett; second wife, Lorene Van Hooser Baggett; and sisters, Gladys Conatser and Clara Estelle Baggett.
Survivors include: sons, Rodney W. (Judy) Baggett of Clarksville, Gary (Margaret) Baggett of Lebanon and Steve (Pam) Baggett of Dickson; daughter, Judy Baggett Goostree of Gallatin; grandchildren, Kristi (Raymon) Sheppard, Kimberly (Dennis) Craig, Kerri (Brian) Jimenez, John and Don (Jeanie) Smith, Dawn (Dwayne) Grissom, Beth, Scott (Kristi), Matthew (Rebecca and Jason Baggett; great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Morgan Sheppard, Alexis Craig, Jesse and Emily Jimenez, Houston and Ryan Smith, Hunter Grissim, Kayla and Ashlie Williams and Clara and Lane Baggett; stepsons, David (Joan), Dale (Kathy) and Doug Van Hooser; step-grandchildren, Brittany (Austin) Van Hooser-Childs, Daniel (Allison) Nadeau, Lauren (Dee) Travis, Win Nadeau, Kelly (Clint) Carter and Katie Van Hooser; step-great-grandchildren, Story and Veda Childs and Austin Carter; sisters, Jewell Powell of Smyrna and Hazel Pepper of Clarksville.
Clarence Daniel 'Danny' Rollins
Services for Mr. Rollins will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Grubbs and Rev. Terry Cathey officiating. Interment in Barton’s Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28 and 9 a.m. until the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rollins, 48, of Gladeville, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012 at his home. He worked for the Lebanon Woolen Mills for 16 years, then for Denver Bates and Associates, and Ritchie Brothers. For the past several years he has been a stay at home dad. He was a 1982 graduate of Lebanon High School and a member of Barton’s Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by: infant brother, David Damar Dedman; infant sister, Rae Ann Michelle Dedman; grandparents, Damar and Lois Ligon; father-in-law, Clyde Murphy; and sister-in-law, Kim Kessler.
Survivors include: wife of 28 years, Lisa Murphy Rollins; children, Gracie and Tristan Williams; parents, Brenda Ligon and Raymond Dedman; brothers, Jonathan (Lynn) and Brad (Tawni) Dedman; half-brother, Wayne (Jenn) Rollins; half-sister, Dana (Robby) Mallory; nephews, Nathan and Brendan Dedman and Chris Lannom; nieces, Christy (Jimmy) Wright, Becky (Gomer) Jordan, Tabitha Williams and Tara Potts; several great-nieces and great-nephews; mother-in-law, Gladys Murphy; sister-in-law, Roxie (Phillip) Lannom; brother-in-law, Duwayne Kessler; aunt, Ruby Miller; friend, Cindy Carson; many other friends and Wayne Rollins.
Pallbearers will be Brad Dedman, David Harris, Ricky Lax, Chris Lannom, Corey Williams and Dylan Bond. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonathan Dedman, Jimmie Pitman, Phillip Lannom, Duwayne Kessler, Chris Barrett, Jimmy Wright, Chet Creswell, the Ritchie Brothers family, Dr. Leora Horn and staff of Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center.
