Gladys Jewell Kelley Gregory

Graveside Services for Ms. Gregory will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 10, in Antioch Cemetery. Pastor John Hunn will be officiating.

Ms. Gregory, 85, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at University Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by: brothers, L.J. Kelley and Ernest Kelley; and sister, Margaret Kelley.

Survivors include: sons, Michael W.(Betty) Gregory and Ronnie (Marci) Gregory; grandchildren, Monta Morgan, Rebecca Welch, Phyllis Hobbs and Patricia Janeway; great-grandchildren, Troy Morgan, Kim Morgan, Jonathan Janeway, Dyllan Janeway, Nathan Welch, Jessica Welch, Ashley Hobbs and Samantha Hobbs; great great-grandchild, Max Morgan; niece, Peggy McPeak; and nephews, Ernest Kelley and Tony Kelley.

Family to serve as active Pallbearers.

Stephen Thomas Hill

A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Hill will be 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Grace Church of the Nazarene in Nashville. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until the service on Monday at the church.

Mr. Hill, 55, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012. He was born in Oct. of 1956 in Kirksville, Mo. He was a life-long professional musician, singer and songwriter. He graduated from Woodmont High School in Piedmont, S.C. in 1973. He was an avid reader, Bible student and an ordained Baptist minister. His solo music ministry took him to many countries around the world. His voice is heard on countless recordings by some of the music industry’s most popular performers. He was a part of the Gaither Homecoming Video Series for over 15 years, and was a background singer on the Nashville Network’s Prime Time Country television program. His songs have been featured on projects by many award winning artists. His timely song “Why Can’t All God’s Children Get Along” was nominated for the Gospel Music Association’s Song Of The Year in 2010.

Survivors include: mother, Bernice (Ray) Roach of Greenville, S.C.; father, Gordon E. Hill of Tucson, Ariz.; wife, Kathy Mullinax Hill; children, Melody Hill of New Orleans, Miriam Hill of N.Y. and Caleb Hill of Los Angeles, Calif.; brother, Sidney (Christina) Hill of Louisville, Ky.; sister, Cheryl Childress of Greenville; and niece, Stephanie Childress of Greenville.

Services for Mrs. Young will be 3 p.m. Saturday Aug. 11, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with the Rev. John Hunn officiating. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10 and 1 p.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Young, 89, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012 at Southern Manor Living Center in Lebanon. She was born in Oct. of 1923 in Overton Co. to the late William Jennings Bryan and Stella Vance. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by: parents; husband of 56 years, Luther Young; and brothers, Louis, Keith, Harold and Fowler Vance.

Survivors include: sons, Charles Luther (Jean) Young of Mt. Juliet and Larry Vance (Robin) Young of Austin, Texas; granddaughter, Stephanie L. Ward (Alex) of Atlanta, Ga.; step-grandson, Jonathan Moss (Amy) of Murfreesboro; step-great-granddaughter, Emma Faith Moss of Murfreesboro; and sister, Imogene Poston of Livingston.
