Services for Mr. Baker will be 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet with William Wiley officiating. Interment in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 and Thursday, Aug. 30 at the funeral home.
Mr. Baker, 61, of Mt. Juliet, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. He attended Calvary Assembly of God. He was employed in the maintenance department of Cloverbottom Developmental Center for several years.
He was preceded in death by: parents, William H. and Geraldine Haddock Baker; and brothers, William, Robert and Jimmy Baker; and sisters, Nancy Lambert and Ann Morefield.
Survivors include: wife of 40 years, Nona 'Cricket' Baker; daughter, Sherrie (Jeremy) Pearson; sister, Peggy (Steve) Baker-Crawford; grandchildren, Lauren (Jason) Clifton and Preston and Peyton James Pearson; nieces and nephews, Sharon and Christina Lambert; Billy Crawford, Johnny, Jeffery, Paul and Bobby Lambert and Kenneth Zumwalt.
Pallbearers will be Steve and Billy Crawford, Joe Hurt, Johnny and Jeffery Lambert and Jeremy Pearson.
Jacob Lee Christiansen
A Funeral Service for Mr. Christiansen was held on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at Hermitage Funeral Home. Interment in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Christiansen, 77, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012. He was born in July of 1935 in Ishpeming City, Mich.
He was preceded in death by: father, Julius M. Christiansen; and mother, Hazel E. Magnuson.
Survivors include: wife of 47 years, Shirley Nokes Christiansen; son, Michael Shawn Christiansen, sister, Rita (Maurice) Rowland; brother-in-law, Tommy (Betty) Nokes; nieces and nephews, Eric (Paula) Nokes, Ethan (Shani) Nokes, Amanda (Dwain) VanVactor, Andrea Hale, Clark (Jennifer) Rowland and Ann Rowland.

Ruth Jean Gann
Services for Mrs. Gann will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Wilson County Funeral Home. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Park, by her husband and son. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gann, 73, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012 at her home. She was owner of Rivergate Body Shop and Hendersonville Wrecker Service. She was born in Dec. of 1938 to the late Gen. Shefler and Ella Hayes.
She was preceded in death by: parents; husband of 45 years, Robert Nathan Gann Sr.; son, Robert Nathan Gann Jr.; and sister, Dorothy Hodge.
Survivors include: sisters, Ruby Edwards, Nell Wrye and Helen Hawker; daughters, Pam (Joe) Barrett, Cindy Gann Winfrey and Tammy Gann; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Herman J. Toombs
Funeral Services for Mr. Toombs will be noon Thursday, Aug. 30, at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet with Rev. Billie Friel officiating. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 and 10 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Toombs, 66, of Mt. Juliet, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet where he served as a greeter and was a member of the Pastor’s Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Lacy’s Market Liar’s Club. He was the son of the late, JP and Mary Elizabeth Alsup Toombs.
He was preceded in death by: parents; and brother, Jerry Toombs.
Survivors include: wife of 44 years, Judy Carter Toombs; son, Toby (Terrie) Toombs; daughter, Wendi (Rodney) Cathey; grandchildren, Caroline Cathey and Tucker Toombs; mother-in-law, Lera Carter; sister-in-law, Mary Toombs, niece and Nephew, Vicki Terrell and Tracy Toombs; cousin and Annette Morton.
Active Pallbearers will be Wayne Jones, Dick Johnson, Will Davis Edwards, Troy Smith, Bill Hicks, Jerry Dowell, Gary Palmer, Wayne Carter and Kevin Early. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Greeters at First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet and the Liar’s Club of Lacy’s Market.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Mt. Juliet.
