Burgess

Carol Ann Boyer

Funeral Services for Mrs. Boyer will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Sellars Funeral Home at Stone Mansion, conducted by Father Jeff Jones and Bro. Glenn Denton. Interment in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 and 10 a.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Boyer, 72, died on September 15, 2012.

She is preceded in death by: parents, Claude and Mary Rose Daigle Norris; husband, Rhean Boyer; and great-granddaughter, Carmyn Digiovanni.

Survivors include: spouse, Clifford Green; children, Robert 'Hoss' Burns, Rose Mary (Jeff) Marshall, Tamara (Paul Eakes) Kelly, Deanie (Danny) Senters, Rhean (Tonya) Boyer Jr. and Anthony Boyer; brother, Harold (Linda) Norris; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Clifford Green, Rhean Boyer, Paul Eakes, Danny Senters, Daniel Boyer and Hoss Burns. Honorary Pallbearer will be Logan Eakes.

Special thanks to Caris Hospice, Walt and Sharon Thomas, Jane Hamlett, the Nowling family and Rhonda Baskin.

Kent Burgess

Services for Mr. Burgess will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Sellars Funeral Home in Mt. Juliet with Bro. Todd Elliott officiating. Interment in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 and 11 a.m. until the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Burgess, 85, of Antioch, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012. He was born in Jan. of 1927 in Crossville, Tenn. He was a member of the Una Church of Christ. He earned his BS degree at Harding College in Searcy, Ark. and his MS degree at University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He began his career of animal training at Animal Behavior Enterprises, Hot Springs, Ark. He was the former Director of Training at Sea World, San Diego, the first trainer of Shamu the killer whale, the first trainer of Bubbles the pilot whale at Sea World, San Diego, and the former Director of Training at Opryland USA. He also served his country in the United States Army in the War Crime Investigation Division. He was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Theatre Ribbon, the Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal, Japan.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Fancy and Recie Burgess; and numerous siblings.

Survivors include: wife of 62 years, Billie Burgess; daughter, Therese (Mac) McClurg; sons, Phil (Julie) and Pat (Jill) Burgess; grandchildren, Gregg (Elicia) McClurg, Sheila (Greg) Hays, Michelle Burgess, Joanna (Tom) Wright, Danny (Cynthia) Burgess and Christopher and Matthew Burgess; and great-grandchildren, Ian Hays and Veda Burgess.

Pallbearers will be Mac and Gregg McClurg, Phil, Christopher, Danny and Pat Burgess.

Don Franklin Jr.

Services for Mr. Franklin will be 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Partlow Funeral Chapel with Dr. Larry Locke and Bro. Kevin Owen officiating. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 and 3 p.m. until the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Franklin, 52, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at University Medical Center. He was a member of College Hills Church of Christ, a 1978 graduate of Castle Heights Military Academy, an Eagle Scout, 1982 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his certification as a Chartered Property Casuality Underwriter (C.P.C.U.) and served as Claims Advocate for Willis Insurance Group.

He was preceded in death by: paternal grandparents, Comer Anderson and Milbra Franklin; maternal grandparents, William Shirley and Lillian Hollis; and father, Don Franklin.

Survivors include: mother, Georgia Franklin; wife of 28 years, Ruth Franklin; daughter, Rachel Franklin; brothers, Jeff and Andy (Monica) Franklin; sister, Jennifer (Richard) Winfree; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Jeff, Andy and Jake Franklin, Joey Patton, Wayne Crafton and Paul O’Connor.

The family request contributions be made in Mr. Franklin’s memory to New Leash on Life, P.O. Box 247, Lebanon, Tn. 37088.

Margaret Geraldine Rigsby

Graveside Services for Mrs. Rigsby will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the service on Friday at Partlow Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Rigsby, 85, of Lebanon, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was a member of the Baptist faith, a homemaker and former employee of Lebanon Garment Factory and Precision Rubber.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Jesse and Maggie Ward Peak; and husband, Jeri Rigsby.

Survivors include: sons, Jerry Rigsby of Lebanon and Charles (Sylvia) Rigsby of Watertown; daughter, Maggie (Paul) Smith of Lebanon; sister, Betty Lou Kelly of Lebanon; grandson, Paul (Tara) Smith; great-grandchild, Jada Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family members will serve as Pallbearers.
