John Wayne Essary

Graveside Services for Mr. Essary will be 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tenn. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Sellars Funeral Home at Stone Mansion.

Mr. Essary, 73, of Lebanon, and formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Alice Williams Rickman and John Walter Essary; and sisters, June Fisher and Mary Neva Essary.

Survivors include: wife of 52 years, Marcia Jean Canada Essary; children, Dirk W. Essary and Jeannine M. Essary; brother, Rick Rickman; grandchildren, Brent C. Essary and Rebecca J. Hoback; and several cousins and friends.

Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.

Melba Sue Hill

Funeral Services for Mrs. Hill will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown with Bros. Don Mathis and John Davis officiating. Interment in Hillview Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 and 9 a.m. until the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hill, 72, of Watertown, died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012 at University Medical Center. She was born in Feb. of 1940 in the Elmwood Community of Smith Co. She was a homemaker and a daycare worker and her church affiliation was Watertown First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by: grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Ballinger and Mr. and Mrs. Ira Grisham; parents, Thurman Monroe Grisham and Flossie Mai Ballinger Grisham; sister, Dona Marie Grisham; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Underwood; and son-in-law, Michael Anthony Shaw.

Survivors included: husband of 48 years, Silas Hill of Watertown; daughters, Reba Darlene (Larry) Marlin of Alexandria, Eva Michelle (Mike) Wright of Watertown and Tena Marie Shaw of Watertown; grandchildren, Emily (Andy) Turbeville of Alexandria, Jessica (Matt) Stanley also of Alexandria and Brandon Wright and Samantha Wright of Watertown; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh White and Jordyn Turbeville of Alexandria; brother, Harold Dean (Charlotte) Grisham of Smith Co.; aunt, Florence Shoulders also of Smith Co.; and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Wright, Andy Turbeville, Matt Stanley, Randy Shoulders, Kenneth Underwood, Phillip Underwood and Tim Grisham.

Gary Wayne Holland

Memorial Services for Mr. Holland will be 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at New Testament Church in Whitehouse.

Mr. Holland, 63, of Crossville, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Cumberland Medical Center. He was born in April of 1949 in Nashville.

Paul Francis Karlewicz

Services for Mr. Karlewicz will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory. Interment with Military Honors in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 with a Prayer Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel in Mt. Juliet.

Mr. Karlewicz, 66, of Mt. Juliet, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012. He was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by: parents, Stanley and Evelyn Horton Karlewicz; and daughter, Nicole Alexandria Karlewicz.

Survivors include: wife, Joan LoPresti Karlewicz.
