Mary Helen Gibson McDonald
Celebration services for Mrs. McDonald will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 17, in the Partlow Funeral Chapel with Dr. Larry Locke officiating. Interment will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m., Monday, April 16, and from 9 a.m. until the service on Tuesday.
Mrs. McDonald, 90, of Lebanon, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at her home surrounded by children and family. She worked at the Lebanon Garment Factory for 37 years and the First Baptist Church for 13 years. A member of College Hills Church of Christ for 65 years, she was a seamtress, an avid reader and loved her flowers. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, friends and church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Elizabeth Lanius Gibson; her father, George Thomas Gibson; her husband, Lewis McDonald; her son, Michael McDonald; her brother, George Elmer Gibson; her sister, Jessie Loudermilk; and special nephew, Gwynne Young.
Survivors include: her son, Terry (Christine) McDonald; daughter, Peggy (Louis) Thompson of Fayetteville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Kirsten (Scott) Harris, Alexandra McDonald, Morgan McDonald, Brian (Julie) McDonald of Nashville, Ginny McDonald and Angie (Chad) Mullins of Fayetteville, Tenn.; Taylor (Steve) Flatt of Nashville, and Jay Thompson of Dothan, Ala.; nine great grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be Vic McDonald, Bob McDonald, Ed Lasater, Ernest Lasater, Raymond Lasater, & Brian McDonald. Honorary pallbearers will be the Tuesday Morning Ladies Bible Class at College Hills Church of Christ; her caring medical team of Dr. Larimore Warren, Dr. Robert Woods, Dr. Gary Gallant, Dr. Wiaam Falouji, Dr. James Peyton, Dr. Heather Dooley; special friends, Sam Sherrill, Lisa Neal, James Walker, John Turner, Opal Midgett, Jerri Gannon, Georgia Matula and Ivadell Stroud.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the building fund of College Hills Church of Christ.

Mrs. Sanders, 89, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 in The Pavilion. Services are incomplete.
