Ann Baird

Visitation for Mrs. Baird was held on Sunday, Dec. 23 from 4-8 p.m. and Monday, Dec. 24 at 11 a.m. until funeral services at 2 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel. Bro. Glenn Denton officiated the services. Interment followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Baird, age 64, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 in the University Medical Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Katherine Watkins; sister Sandra Watkins.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Thomas Baird; sons, Jason Baird and Thomas D. Baird; sisters, Faye (Ron) Childress and Gail Fleming; grandchildren, Kayla Baird, Tyler Baird, Ashlee Cunningham, Caden Baird, Lyndsy Baird and Mason Baird.

Mrs. Baird, along with her husband, are owners of Baird’s Custom Fence.

Mrs. Baird’s family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in her memory to Sherry’s Run, P.O. Box 8, Lebanon, TN 37088.

Shirley Starling Conger

Funeral services for Mrs. Conger are scheduled for 7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Val Johnson and the Rev. Tim Johnson officiating. She will then be conveyed to Gerry’s Funeral Home in Lake City, Fla. for services. Interment will be in Maypop Cemetery in Brandford, Fla.  Visitation will be at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m.

Mrs. Conger, age 63, of Watertown, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at her home.

Born Aug. 23, 1949, in Live Oak, Fla., she is the daughter of the late Ellis and Betty Sands Starling.  She retired from retail and was a member of the Landmark Pentecostal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Al Starling.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Sherman Conger; daughter, Teleathia (Samuel) McGauley, of Lake Park, Ga.; son, Jason (Rebecca) Conger, of Lebanon; and seven grandchildren.

Clyde Neal Elmore

Services for Mr. Elmore will be Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Elder Danny Tomlinson officiating. Interment will be in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. and Thursday after 10 a.m. A Masonic service will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Mr. Elmore, age 79, of Lebanon, passed away Dec. 22, 2012, at his home. He was born in Smith County and was the son of the late Haskell Elmore and Bessie Mofield Elmore Jastremski. He was a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge No. 98 F & AM and was a Shriner. He attended Beckwith Missionary Baptist Church. He served as deputy property assessor for the late James Parton and retired as a property assessor for the state of Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lorene Grisham Elmore; granddaughter, Hailee Elmore; two brothers, Raymond and Howard Elmore. He is survived by three children, Pam (Mark) Will, Scott H. (Gina) Elmore, Terry (Renee) Elmore; sister, Jewell Hight; two sisters-in-law, Nellie and Billie Jo Elmore; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tony Elmore, Mark Hight, Wayne Drennon, John Roth, Steven Kraft and Donde Hood.

Joan Hamblen Wright

Funeral services for Mrs. Wright will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Bond Memorial Chapel with Bro. Buddy Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Hamblen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, and from 8-10 a.m., Thursday, at Bond Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Wright, age 78, of Mt. Juliet, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012. Mrs. Wright was a faithful member of Corinth Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late, Horace and Maxie Peach Hamblen. Joan was also preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Ann Binkley, and her sister, Maxie Mai York.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Ronald Wright; son, James Ricky Wright; brothers, Terry Hamblen, Hilton Hamblen; sister, Mary Lou Hamblen; grandchildren, Russell Foy, Brittany Foy, Robbie Foy, Bradley Foy, Sarah Wright, Jessica Wright; and great-grandbaby, Niveah Wright.

Grandchildren and nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Sadie Caroline Davis

Miss Davis, 17-months-old, of Mt. Juliet, died Friday at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at The Journey Church in Lebanon. A private burial will follow in Mt. Juliet Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel and Thursday at noon at the church.

Bessie ‘Jimmie’ McDaniel

Mrs. McDaniel, 92, died Friday at Mt. Juliet Health Care Center.

Services were Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pocahontas Church of Christ. Burial followed at Hopewell Cemetery in Coffee County. Visitation was Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel and Sunday at 1 p.m. at the church.

Berenice Tomlin Parker

Mrs. Parker, 77, died Friday at Quality Health Care Center.

Visitation was Saturday from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Burial followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Franklin. Partlow Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
