Licenses expire: Hunters and fishermen are reminded that their license expire Feb. 28.

The TWRA offers a wide of license options suited to various needs. Prices remain unchanged from previous seasons.

Registration for a TWRA Hunter Education course will be required to be made on-line on the Agency website (tnwildlife.org). Anyone lacking computer access is advised to visit a local library or call a TWRA regional office for assistance.

Trap shoot: Ben Schade braved cold weather to do some hot shooting and win the Cedar City Gun Club’s trap shoot last week. Schade broke 48 of 50 targets.

Chris Cooper broke  45 and Justin Cooper 43.

The Club also hosted an ATA shoot, with Jamie Harford taking top honors with a 49.

Thomas Byrd and Austin Lowe tied in Class A with 48s, Chris Cooper won Class B (43), Justin Cooper Class C (40), Mac McCaleb Veteran (46) and K.J. Davis Sub-Junior (27).

In Handicap competition Chris Cooper was first with a 43; Justin Cooper won Open, Billy Rob Vet and K.J. Davis Sub-Junior.

Trout fishing: The TWRA’s winter trout stocking program is underway and anglers are reminded that a trout license is required, in addition to the regular fishing license. A Lifetime License or Sportsman’s License covers all requirements.
