Bulldogs advance to Saturday semifinals

FRANKFORT, Ky. – TaCouya Allen netted a team-best 16 points and Casie Cowan hit 5 of 6 free throws in the final 31.3 seconds, helping sixth-ranked Cumberland overcome a very sluggish first half and hold off Lindsey Wilson, 61-56,  Thursday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Championships.

With the win the Bulldogs (28-2) advance to the semifinals of the tournament Saturday at 1 p.m. to face the winner of St. Catharine College-Shawnee State.
