During a search of the car, police found several prescription narcotics, “a hand-rolled cigarette containing a leafy-green substance believed to be marijuana” and two handguns.
The six people in the car, Ashley Freeman, 22, of Mt. Juliet, Bobby Jennings, 38, of Lebanon, Keynoxkus Crutchfield, 18, of Lebanon, David Searcy, 44, of Lebanon, Lacresha Rhodes, 22, of Lebanon, and Latoya McDuffie, 25, of Lebanon, were all charged with varying drug and weapons charges, according to police
Lebanon police Chief Scott Bowen said Monday’s shots-fired report is not the first from John’s Place.
“We have had our problems out there, and now it seems that we’re having more problems,” said Bowen. “There used to be another bar out there called Les’s Lounge, and we actually went to the court and got an injunction to shut the business down.”
He said if the shots-fired calls continue, John’s Place may meet a similar fate.
“If we continue to get the shots-fired calls and arresting people with guns and stuff like that, then that’s something we’ll have to definitely look at doing.”
