Cumberland women’s soccer coach Gavin McKinney announced the signing of Beech High School product Kiley Sanson to scholarship papers for the 2013 season.
Sanson was a four-year letterwinner for coach Tim Guinn at Beech, earning All-District and All-County honors as a freshman, junior and senior. She garnered All-District Tournament and Team MVP accolades as a junior and senior and was a Second Team All-Midstate selection as a senior.
Sanson scored 60 career goals for the Bucs and played in the East-West All-Star game this past season. Beech finished the 2012 season with a 13-6-2 overall record, falling to Clarksville High School in the Region 5-AAA semifinals. The Bucs finished 12-4-3 in 2011, losing in a shootout in the semifinals of the District 9-AAA semifinals to Station Camp.
She is the daughter of Cumberland Athletics Hall of Fame member Lacritia Wilson Sanson, a three-sport star for the Bulldogs, and Rob Sanson, a former CU baseball player. She is the second signee for the Bulldogs this spring, joining Edmonton, Alberta, native Olivia Chu.
