CU baseball to hold annual pancake breakfast, garage sale

The Cumberland baseball team will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast and Garage Sale on the CU campus from 6 a.m.-noon Nov. 10.

The public is invited to the pancake breakfast at Phillips Dining Hall from 6-10 a.m. Cost is $5 per person and includes pancakes, bacon and sausage, and juice or coffee.

The garage sale begins at 6 a.m. until Noon as well in the Benton Jennings Hitting Facility. Uniforms and equipment as well as items from other teams will be on sale. All proceeds from the event benefit the Bulldog baseball program.  

Junior/Senior Pro Basketball signups Oct. 27

The City of Lebanon Junior/Senior Pro Basketball signups will be held from 9-11 a.m. Oct. 27 at the Harold Dean Greer Recreation Center in Baird Park. Those who cannot make it to signing day may pre-register before Oct. 27 by coming by the Rec Center from 7:30 a.m-4:30 p.m. weekdays [closed from 11 a.m-noon for lunch]. The program is for boys and girls age 6 [as of Aug. 1 of this year] through eighth-grade who live in Wilson County. Children in the seventh- or eighth-grade who are part of a junior high or junior-varsity team are not eligible for this league. Airsoft tournament to benefit McClain Christian

An airsoft tournament benefitting McClain Christian Academy will be held from 1-5 p.m. [or until dark] Oct. 28 at Bad Karma Airsoft Field on Gwynn Road. Entry fee is $20. Gun rental is available from Nashville Airsoft for 20 percent off when McClain is mentioned. Call 837-0920 to reserve your gun. Ammo may be purchased from Nashville Airsoft or Wal-Mart.
