New LHS coach Harp to speak at Jan. 4 chili supper
A chili supper will be held Jan. 4 in the Lebanon High cafeteria to welcome new Blue Devil football coach Sam Harp. Cost is $5 per person, which will include a bowl of chili, a beverage and dessert. Doors will open at 5 p.m., followed by remarks from Harp at 6. The LHS basketball teams will host District 9-AAA rival Station Camp in a girl-boy double header in the adjacent Campbell Brandon Gym/Hester Gibbs Court at 6:30 p.m. Harp has spent the last 25 of a 32-season career at Danville [Ky.] High, where his teams won seven state championships.
Cumberland volleyball clinic Jan. 12
A volleyball clinic for girls ages 8-18 will be held at Cumberland's Dallas Floyd Center from 9-11 a.m. Jan. 12. Cost is $40. Airborne Volleyball development team forming
Airborne Volleyball is accepting players for an 11-12-year-old development team which will practice twice per week from January through March and compete in a regional tournament in Franklin and in the Cumberland University spring league.
