Three from Friendship qualify for sectional

NASHVILLE — Three Friendship Christian athletes have qualified for the Class A-AA Midstate Sectional next week at David Lipscomb.
Britta Fry, Daniel Thompson and John Hatcher finished in the top three of their respective events Thursday night in the sub-sectional at Lipscomb.
Fry turned in a time of :17.4 in the 100-meter hurdles and :53.0 in the 300 hurdles.
Thompson ran the mile in 4:52 and John Hatcher covered 5-6 in the high jump.
Field events will be Tuesday and the running events Thursday at Lipscomb. The top two in each section plus the top two wildcards from across the state will advance to the Spring Fling in Murfreesboro.
