The Central Region 4-H Poultry Judging contest was held Sept. 25 in Lebanon. Wilson County 4-H swept first place in all three age divisions of the contest.

(Submitted to The Democrat) Brian McDonald, administrator of Hearthside Assisted Living, was a student of several Wilson County Retired Teachers Association members. He was happy to see Kenneth Watts. Watts was McDonald’s principal when he attended Byars-Dowdy Elementary School as a third grader.
Wilson County Retired Teachers’ Association met Oct. 9 at the Heights of Hearthside Clubhouse.

Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto met with voters in the Cottage Home, Prosperity and Liberty Hill Road communities Oct. 2 to discuss items citizens expect from Wilson County government. Commissioner Sara Patton was also in attendance to answer questions about problems in the district.
