First Tennessee Foundation recently awarded United Way of Wilson County nearly $2,000 as the most recent contribution to United Way of Wilson County’s present campaign.

Betty Hall recites a Christmas story called Annie and Willie’s Prayer by Sophia Snow for members of the Wilson County Retired Teachers’ Association at its December meeting. Hall memorized the story listening to her mother read the story to her and her siblings through the years.
Wilson County Retired Teachers Association ended the first half of the 2014-2015 year at the meeting on Dec. 6 at the First Church of the Nazarene. Four new members have been added to the WCRTA roster in 2014, keeping membership over 100 retired teachers. The newest member is Benny Jennings.
