(Submitted to The Democrat) Anyone who’s been touched by cancer in some way or wants to fight back against the disease is invited to be part of Relay For Life of Wilson County and its fundraising efforts, which benefit the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.  This year’s Relay event will be June 6 from 6 p.m. until midnight.
Relay For Life of Wilson County is an opportunity to help the American Cancer Society save lives, and anyone and everyone who wants to make a difference in the fight against cancer is invited to register a team or join one.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration the greatest snowfall in 24 hours in the U.S. was in Silver Lake, Colo. on April 15-16, 1921 with 75.8 inches. While most won't experience that much snow, any significant snowfall or ice can create hazardous conditions.
