Lebanon rolls to season-opening wins

HENDERSONVILLE — Lebanon’s boys and girls opened their seasons Monday and Tuesday with a pair of wins at Hendersonville Strike & Spare.

The Blue Devils beat Beech 15-12 Monday after trailing going into the third game. Defending state individual champion Tyler Moore rolled high game scores of 218, 217 and 248 while Hunter Fugate finished with 234 and 220 games, Jaleel Dowell 223 and Matthew Ham 201.

Also Monday, Lebanon’s girls routed Beech 26-1 behind high scores of 225 and 191 from Amber Brakefield and 189, 177 and 187 from Lindsay Manning.

Lebanon returned to Strike & Spare on Tuesday to take care of Portland in a pair of 26-1 victories.

Ham had a 213 high game, Moore 210, Fugate 194 and 197 and Logan Beadle 191.

Brakefield led the Lady Devils with high games of 178 and 226 while Manning posted 170, 174 and 195 games.

Lebanon will play host to Mt. Juliet at 4 p.m. Thursday at Pro Bowl West in the Blue Devils’ home opener.
