Dozens of green-draped guests made their way to the Lebanon-Wilson County Chamber of Commerce on Friday for the group’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Open House.

Melanie Minter, chamber president, said the group decided to alter the format for the open house from an all-day event to 2-4 p.m., with more emphasis on supporting local restaurants.

“We wanted to make sure we were supporting our local restaurants. We’ve been supporting our local small businesses. We’ve been working on industry and manufacturing, and this was a great time to thank the restaurants who have participated in St. Patrick’s Day for many years,” Minter said.

The group created a coupon booklet that featured several local restaurants with deals available through the end of the month. Some offers are available into April.

“We had a great crowd this afternoon. It was full since 2 o’clock,” Minter said.

City and county leaders, along with several chamber members and county residents made their way to the Lebanon Square for the event, which featured traditional treats and a few new items.

“We had a lot of fun, and that’s really what it’s all about,” Minter said.
