Community High product Minhovich signs with CU

Cumberland cross country coach Jim Seckel announced the signing of Community High School product Nate Mihnovich to scholarship papers this week for the 2017-18 academic year, becoming the fifth Phoenix signee for next season.

Mihnovich qualified for the TSSAA Cross Country Championships this past season at Community, posting a 5K time of 18:21.07. He is also a member of the soccer team this season at CHS.

He attended Franklin High School for three years, earning letters in soccer, cross country and track and field as a junior. Mihnovich was named team most valuable runner in cross country and long distance MVR in track for the Rebels and coach Cormac Carolan. He is the son of Tammy Titus.

Mihnovich joins Carlos Angeles-Solis (Antioch), Titus Williams (Murfreesboro), Joel Barlow (Wilson Central) and Tim Vanjohnson Jr. (Powder Springs, Ga.) in this year’s recruiting class.
