National Cheeseburger Day on Monday is not a day for the lactose intolerant.

It is, however, a grand occasion for beloved restaurants and burger joints. In celebration of the marriage of cheese and beef, eateries are doling out free cheeseburgers and other offers all day long. Here’s a list from offers.com of the best National Cheeseburger Day freebies and deals:

Offers.com surveyed more than 1,000 to discover just how much they spend to get their fast food fix, and what exactly it is they want on their cheeseburger.

• A majority of consumers or 28 percent said they only eat cheeseburgers a few times a year, however, this is not the case for everyone. Twenty-four percent said they grab a burger once a month and 21 percent eat one once a week.

• A majority of consumers or 62 percent spend $1-$20 on cheeseburgers in a month. What’s surprising about this data is that while 17 percent don’t spend any money on cheeseburgers, 5 percent admitted to spending in $80 a month on their fast food fix.

• Consumers chose condiments such as ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise to top the list at 20 percent, while bacon, pickles and lettuce all tied for second place at 18 percent each. Tomatoes fall shortly behind at 17 percent, and avocados finish up the list at 9 percent. Condiments topped the list in Tennessee, as well

• American cheese is the No. 1 cheese for a cheeseburger at 35 percent. Cheddar followed closely behind at 31 percent, followed by Swiss at 11 percent and provolone and jack tied at 9 percent. And lastly, 5 percent of consumers said they preferred blue cheese. In Tennessee, cheddar topped the list.
