No serious injuries were reported in a vehicle wreck involving a Wilson County sheriff’s deputy on Thursday afternoon, according to Lt. Scott Moore.

The wreck happened across from Maple Hill Church of Christ on West Main Street and did not involve any other cars.

Moore said there might have been a medical issue that caused the wreck, and the deputy was transported to a hospital for evaluation.

“It was not a pursuit chase or anything like that … I believe he was heading to his house,” Moore said. “He’s fine right now; he wasn’t injured in the wreck.”

Tennessee Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the incident, Moore said.
