Central succumbs to Oakland in 4

GLADEVILLE — Wilson Central dropped a 25-20, 25-14, 18-25, 25-21 decision to visiting Oakland on Wednesday night.

Emilee McDonald led the Lady Wildcats with 25 assists, five kills, four digs and two blocks while Faith Moorhead had 12 digs, eight kills and an ace; Hannah Potts seven kills, two digs and an assist; Nicole Brill four kills, three aces and a dig; Sydney McClure four blocks, two digs and two kills; Hailey Hunter three digs, two aces and an assist; Kathryn Bean seven kills and four blocks, Hope Davidson three aces and a dig and Grayce Guethlein six digs as Central slipped to 2-4 for the season.

Wilson Central won the junior-varsity match 25-8, 25-23.

Central will travel to Smyrna on Thursday for a District 9-AAA match at 6 p;.m. Thursday. The JV will serve off at 5.
