Lady Bears fall to Oakland 3-1

MT. JULIET — Mt. Juliet went down swinging to visiting Oakland, winning the first game before dropping the next three, all by identical 25-21 scores, Monday night.

Amber Ehrhart had 13 assists for Mt. Juliet while Madison Matthews managed 12 digs, Zoe Hayes 11 aces, Carson Van Hoven and Devon Smotherman seven kills each and Emma Green five blocks as the Lady Bears slipped to 6-10 for the season.

Mt. Juliet will travel to District 9-AAA rival Smyrna on Thursday for a 6 p.m. serve off. The junior-varsity match will start at 5.
