Wrestling posts 25-13 dual match victory

GAFFNEY, S.C. — Sammy Rosario won by Fall and George Clemens IV and Kyle Delaune each picked up Major Decisions in 17th-ranked Cumberland’s 25-13 victory over Limestone in wrestling action Thursday night.

The match started at 174 and the Phoenix (5-0) fell behind early by decision, but Delaune posted a 21-5 technical fall over Raekwon Reggler at 184. Tommie Turner collected a 9-2 decision versus Daniel Bland at 285 for an 8-7 CU lead in the match.

Clemens IV registered a 19-4 tech fall against Majid Corbit at 125 before Rosario pinned Xavier Sampsel at 4:18 for a 19-7 CU advantage in the match.

Evan Cole picked up an 11-7 decision over Kurtis Aimable at 149 and Nate Croley won a 6-4 decision at 157 versus Deandre’ Johnson to close out the win.
