Venita and Marlon Middlebrook recently tied the knot after winning a contest put on by 101.1 The Beat radio station to get married at White Castle.
But it wasn’t somewhere one might think Cinderella would live. No. It was the fast-food restaurant in Mt. Juliet.
The radio station provided the minister, wedding rings and a cake.
The Middlebrooks, who’ve been together for three years, met for the first time at a grocery store. The couple chose the Mt. Juliet location because they often go there for date nights and meals with family who live in town.
The whole restaurant was decorated with flowers and table cloths, which is quite different from the usual casual dining experience.
“We weren’t expecting so much; it’s absolutely beautiful,” said Venita Middlebrook.
The couple said they were not only excited to finally be husband and wife, but to also recite their vows in one of their favorite places.
“To win the wedding at White Castle was truly a blessing,” Venita Middlebrook said.
Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle, said the company was honored to be a part of the couple’s special day.
“Nothing warms our hearts more than being able to witness two people come together in one of our restaurants,” Richardson said. “It’s exciting for us to be a part of their lives.”
