The Labors of Love Garden Party took place Saturday at the Community Garden at Charlie Daniels Park in Mt. Juliet.
The Labors of Love Community Garden is a 2,400-square-feet vegetable garden along Stoner Creek at the park. This garden was the brainchild of Wilson County Master Gardener Jan Littrell who continues to lead the project.
“Our tireless crew works year-round producing crops which are donated to the local Senior Citizens Awareness Network,” said Littrell.
Activities and booths set up Saturday at the Labors of Love Garden Party included the Wilson County Master Gardeners’ help line, a pollinator station, University of Tennessee Extension agent David Cook also known as the Bug Man, a honey bee hive, garden tours, Senior Citizens Awareness Network, a plant and seed giveaway, building a raised bed demonstration and composting demonstrations.
