ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Freshman Matthew Charlton placed 39th and sophomore Jarred Bradshaw finished 58th for Cumberland bowling at the Lehigh Valley Classic on Dec. 29-30.
Charlton knocked down 960 pins for 39th, just 28 pins shy of the Top 25 among 209 competitors in the two-day event at AMF Parkway Lanes in Allentown. Bradshaw recorded 919 pins over the five games, 20 shy of the Top 50.
Junior Peyton Bell registered 831 pins for 91st and sophomore Thomas Chenault was 103rd with 803 pins.
The Phoenix also bowled in the RotoGrip Keystone Quaker Classic on Dec. 27-28 at Haja Rose Bowl in Allentown, with senior Johnathon Davis leading the way with 884 pins for 88th place.
Bradshaw was next with 882 pins, good for 90th, while Charlton posted 877 (95th), Bell knocked down 874 (96th) and Chenault had 624 (153rd).
Cumberland will begin the second semester schedule at the Kegal/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic on Jan. 19-20 at Stardust Bowl in Addison, Ill.
