• Lebanon boys take region championship

    HENDERSONVILLE — Lebanon’s boys knocked off District 13 champion White House 14-13 in a battle of Blue Devils on Thursday to capture the Region 6 championship at Hendersonville Strike & Spare.

    LHS took a 170-pin lead in the first game before White House cut the margin almost in half in the second before Lebanon emerged with an 18-4 record.

    Jaleel Dowell delivered high games of 214, 211 and 218 for Lebanon while Ethan Smiley rolled scores of 209, 211 and 214; Caleb Gregory 184, 219 and 189, Gregory Oliver 210, Jackson McRae 198 and Ryan Norvil 179 and 187.

    Earlier in the day, Lebanon doubled up Upperman 18-9 in the semifinals as Gregory posted high games of 194 and 223, Norvil 179 and 204, Dowell 182 and 197 and McRae 195 and 180.

    Lebanon will play host to Centennial at 1 p.m. Monday in the sectional at Pro Bowl West with the winner advancing to the TSSAA state tournament which will roll off Jan. 18 at Smyrna Bowling Center.
