TCAT Hartsville honors veterans
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Hartsville SkillsUSA Chapter recently honored its veteran students and faculty on both of its campuses, Hartsville (pictured) and Lebanon.
Each veteran at the TCAT Hartsville and Lebanon (pictured) campuses received a small gift as a thank you for their service and sacrifice for our country. Charles Mirrasoul and Patricia Otts from Gallatin American Legion Post 17 accepted a $500 gift for veterans in need from the SkillsUSA membership. Of the five-county service area for TCAT, four have accepted monetary gifts — Sumner, Macon, Wilson and Trousdale counties. Smith county is expected to be added next year.
Army veteran and computer information technology student Justin Oliver (center) was presented the Chancellor’s Commendation Medal for Military Veterans by TCAT President Mae Wright (at left) along with instructor Tony Dedman.
