Big Hill Challenge

Historic Watertown and the Veloteers Bicycle Club are hosting a bike ride through the hills and mountains around Watertown. Registration begins at 6 a.m. at Watertown Middle School, located at 515 W Main St. in Watertown. The rides start at 7 a.m. There are four different routes for various ability levels. Individuals can visit bighillchallenge.com to sign up.

Free food box giveaway

Bethlehem Methodist Church, located at 2102 Lebanon Road in Lebanon, will be giving away free food boxes from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Boxed items include canned meat, cereal and breakfast items, a variety of pasta, pasta sauce, canned fruit, mac and cheese and peanut putter.

Symphony on the Lawn

The free community event takes place on Cumberland University’s Memorial Lawn, located at 1 Cumberland Square in Lebanon, at 5:30 p.m. There will be Camp FAME musicians, a sidewalk chalk art demonstration, a petting zoo and food trucks, followed by the Nashville Symphony’s performance at 7 p.m.

June 18

Juneteenth Street Festival

The Juneteenth Street Festival will take place in the Market Street Community District. It extends from Pickett Chapel, located at 209 Market St. in Lebanon, to the Wilson County Civic League, located at 321 E. Market St., from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be food, vendors, a kids zone and live music.

June 20

Youth Police Academy

The Lebanon Police Department’s Youth Police Academy is being held at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center, located at 511 N. Castle Heights Ave. in Lebanon, from June 20-24, starting at 8:30 a.m. each day and lasting until 4 p.m.

June 23

Free outdoor movie night

Demeter’s Common and Public Square Marketplace is hosting a free outdoor movie night with vendor tents and food trucks at 108 North College St. in Lebanon, starting at 5 p.m. The movie begins at twilight (at approximately 8:30 p.m.)

July 7

Calvary Baptist Church Vacation Bible School

Calvary Baptist Church, located at 1702 Sparta Pike in Lebanon, will hold a vacation bible school program from July 7-9. The theme is “Jerusalem Marketplace: Where Jesus Walked to the Cross.” The program lasts from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on July 7 and 8. On July, 9, the hours are from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
