Habitat for Humanity donation

Mike Dover, representing the Richard Whitener Memorial Fund, presents a check to Habitat for Humanity’s Tory Tredway, right, to support the work of the charity in Wilson County. The presentation took place recently at the site in Lebanon where Habitat is currently building two homes. The fund was established earlier this year to provide a continuing legacy in honor of Richard following his battle with cancer. Richard will always be remembered for his huge smile and heart to match. His dedication to the community was evident through his membership in the Lebanon Rotary Club, his leadership in managing the Lebanon Youth Baseball League, and his support of numerous charities through the generosity of THW Insurance, of which he was a partner. The goal of the foundation is to provide support for deserving organizations and individuals in our community through financial donations made in Richard’s name. For more information about volunteering or sponsoring with Habitat in Wilson County, contact Tredway at 615-964-6594.
