U.S. 231 bridge work continues

Motorists traveling on U.S. 231 north of Lebanon were left with one lane Wednesday as a crew from Mid-State Construction Company completed work on the bridge over the Cumberland River. Tennessee Department of Transportation Community Relations Officer Kathryn Schulte said repairs were being made to the bearing pads beneath the bridge. Schulte said the project would wrap up today or tomorrow, but that additional lane closures could be expected when crews stripe the road.
