District 9-4A tips off tonight

Above left: Adler Kerr and Wilson Central will open play in the new District 9-4A tonight when Lebanon travels down Interstate 840. Elsewhere in Wilson County, Watertown, whose District 62A opener at Westmoreland was snowed out last Friday, will remain outside league play tonight when the Purple Tigers travel to Smithville to take on DeKalb County in the Battle of Sparta Pike. Division II schools Friendship Christian and Mt. Juliet Christian have been in District 4-IIA play for awhile. The Commanders will host Davidson Academy tonight while the Saints entertain Donelson Christian. All of the girls’ games tip off at 6 p.m. with the boys to follow. Above right: Nearly two months after the season tipped off, Asia Barr and Lebanon will finally play its first game in the new District 9-4A when they travel down Interstate 840 to Wilson Central at 6 p.m. today. The other 9-4A game has Green Hill going to Cookeville while Mt. Juliet is off.
