The Hinchman

MVP soccer award named after Hinchman

The Wilson Central soccer program, in an effort to show support for one of our players who lost his senior year of soccer because of the cancellation of the season due to COVID-19, has renamed its Most Valuable Player award “The Hinchman” after Zach Hinchman. Hinchman was a four-year letterman, two-time captain, a 2019 Second Team All-District Selection, and an invaluable asset to his team and coach. Hinchman not only excelled on the field, his academic honors are just as impressive. Hinchman graduated with honors and distinction; top 10% of his class, named a Tennessee Scholar; scored over 30 on the ACT, member of National Honor Society; member of Beta Club; four-year member of student council; perfect attendance for senior year; and won the Shakespeare superlative for being the class’ best writer. He will be missed.
