Wilson Central brings lacrosse to Wilson County

Wilson Central High School is fielding Wilson County’s first-ever lacrosse teams (boys and girls) this spring. Members of the Lady Wildcats (shown here) are Briana Martinez, Blayne Smithing, Emily Bailey, Emma Martinez, Aubrieghana Holmes, Ansley McNutt, Isabela Nelson, Bailey Meeks, Amaya Johnson, Raegan Smithing, Riley Christie, Emma VanDeryt, Jayne Pillai, Riley Swafford, Jasmine Harrison, Tabitha Dickson, Ellie Scoby, Gracen Robinson, Hannah Hungate, Kenzie Russell, Autumn Bragg and Hope Davidson. Head coach Jaime Martinez is assisted by Kelly McGuire and Ellie Simmons. Wilson Central will play its first game at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20 on the road against St. Cecilia before its first home contest at 7 the next night against Clarksville on the WCHS soccer field. The Lady Wildcats will play 18 games through April 30. The boys’ team will open against Clarksville on March 18.
