FCCLA sponsors food drive

Macon County High School FCCLA members recently sponsored a food drive to benefit the Macon County Backpack Program. The homerooms competed to see who could bring in the most food and drink items. Julie Mix’s freshmen homeroom, above, donated more than 3,684 items and won a pizza party. In total, 5,566 food items were collected. Mix would like to thank Piggly Wiggly, Hometown Foods, D.T. McCalls, Save-A-Lot, and Macon Bankand Trust for helping students with the donations. Thanks also to the FCCLA sponsors and members for sponsoring this event.
