Wilson County honors MLK

With the pandemic prompting a downsizing of Wilson County’s usual Dr. Martin Luther King Day, the usual proclamation ceremony was postponed. On Friday, members of the Black History Committee and others gathered in front of Pickett Chapel on East Market Street in Lebanon. Wilson County Mayor Randall Hutto delivered remarks about the importance of honoring the past while not forgetting its role in shaping the future. From left are Hutto, Sally Bradshaw, Annie Watkins, Bill Moss, Lyn Williams, Harry Harris (red cap), Black History Committee Principal Officer Mary Harris and District 20 Commissioner Annette Stafford.
