Funeral services for Mrs. Ricketts will be Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home with Brother Carl Price and Brother Jim Yates officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the service time. Interment will follow in Wilson County Memorial Park.
Mrs. Ricketts, age 86, of Lebanon, died Tuesday evening, Nov. 6, 2018 at Lebanon Health & Rehab.
Born April 18, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Robert Frank Bailey and Zora Jane Baines Bailey and was preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond, Robert and Kenneth “Booty” Bailey. Her husband, Ray Ricketts preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2013.
Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Joe Hodges, of Lebanon, and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Jean was a 1950 graduate of Watertown High School and a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church. She retired after 38 years with the city of Lebanon and later worked for the Wilson County Election Commission. Jean enjoyed reading, trips to the mountains, Tennessee football and cooking and baking for her family and friends. Pallbearers will be Ralph Bailey, Cody Bailey, Larry Bailey, Timmy and Ramsey Goolsby, Cale Cripps and Mathew Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be the 1950 class of Watertown High School, Jenny Clark and Laverne Griffin.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Family Medical Associates and Lebanon Health & Rehab and Dr. Larimore Warren for their love and care.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the Fall Creek Baptist Church.
